1977 Triumph Bonneville T140, 1977 Triumph Bonneville 750 T140. This a great bike! I'm the 3rd owner and have to sell the bike for family reasons. The bike was a weekend rider and oil was changed every 750-800 miles. Lots and lots of service to the bike with meticulous records to ensure proper maintenance was upheld. Con: there are 2 very small paint blemishes on the tank however they do not detract from the overall appearance of the bike. Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.

Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC for Engine Management Software
Thu, 25 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for the 2011 and 2012 Tiger 800 and 800XC adventure tourers due to a bug in the engine management software. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Triumph Tigers’ 800cc Triple engine may stall during deceleration. Riders may also notice lower RPMs indicated on the tachometer at idle.
