Kawasaki KLX description

This auction is for a 2009 Kawasaki KLX250S.  This bike runs just like new.  80-85% of the milage has been on-road miles, although it has seen several trips through wooded trails.  It has never been involved in any type of accident on the road.  Just like any bike that get used, it has been dropped off road, however there are only minor scratches on the plastic and no physical damage to any components.  There are slight signs of wear on the frame and engine side casings where your shoe rubs, but other than that this bike still looks really great.

There are several reasons to purchase a bike like this one.  Great gas milage was at the top of my list, followed by cheap insurance.  Another great reason to own this bike was the ability to be riding down a paved road and see a path or dirt road and just go exploring,...simple as that!  On one particular trip, I left the paved road in one county, rode close to 50+ miles through dirt roads and trails, ending in a different county over 30+ miles from where I started, by Interstate.  With this Kawasaki KLX250S you can have the best of both worlds, and not feel that you've been cheated.  This bike has plenty of power to ride the highway at 85+ or climb a dirt and gravel trail up the side of a mountain.  You decide!

The tires are original, and by their condition you can see that this bike has been treated well.  The chain is even still in great condition.

As with all of our auctions, even though this KLX250S is in great condition, it is offered as is.  I would love to answer any questions you may have, but if you are interested, I would suggest messaging me to set up a time when you could come see this bike in person.  We will not allow test rides unless a deposit has been given.  You can bring the deposit-equivalent amount in person, if you wish to see the bike before the auction is over.

This bike is being offered locally as well, so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time, if it sells.

New 1972 Kawasaki Z1 only £720

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

Looking at the pictures of Japanese firm Yamato's new Kawasaki Z1 you'd be hard pushed to tell it's not the real thing. But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.

Video: Riding the 2011 MSS Kawasaki ZX-10 Superbike racer

Thu, 10 Mar 2011

A long time ago a man – some would say living legend – taught me how to ride a speedway bike. In Scandinavian tinged English he told me that the heart of riding a speedway bike was the relationship between my heart and the centre nut of the top yoke. Like a primitive cave dweller, he beat his heart with his fist while he explained this theory whilst his other hand gripped the top yoke.

Kawasaki Issues Recall on Unauthorized Concours 14 Police Models

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Kawasaki announced a recall on 44 2012-2013 Concours 14 potentially faulty motorcycles allegedly converted for police use without the manufacturer’s consent. Back in early 2012, Kawasaki announced a recall on 278 2009-2012 Concours 14 police motorcycles because the add-on equipment installed by Idaho-based Beaudry Motors suffered electrical problems. According to the recall documents, the electrical system installed by Beaudry could overload the charging circuit between the regulator and the two batteries and eventually blow the main fuse.
