1982 Honda Cx 500 Custom on 2040-motos
Honda Other tech info
Honda Other description
For auction my 1982 Honda CX 500 motorcycle with 16,142 original miles. As you can see by the pictures, this bike has always been taken care by it`s three adult owners. The bike has been garaged and always received annual maintenance. I owned one of these new (not the custom) in 1979, and this one drives just as well as that one. The bike is all stock except for the nearly new Shad top case. Tires and battery are all fairly new and in good condition. The bike has a current state inspection and is being ridden regularly. The bike needs absolutely nothing. There are no mechanical issues nor leaks of any kind. Obviously the bike is more than 30 years old and does show some signs of age. There are 3 chips in the original paint on tank. There is some rust on back left rack and fender and mild corrosion spots on both valve covers and front engine cover. The decal on battery cover also is faded. Exhausts are original and in excellent shape. There are no dents or scratches and the bike has never been down. The seat has no damage and in good condition.

How do 1000s compare to the 800s
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Now MotoGP has completed its transformation from 800 to 1000cc, how do the lap times between the different bikes compare using Valencia and the post-season test as a benchmark.. Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa was the quickest 1000 on his Honda RC213V setting a time of 1:32.186. To find the quickest time from the outgoing 800 era you have to look at his current Repsol Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, but it wasn't set on a Honda.
