For sale is a Honda CX500 Custom. Motorcycle is in very good condition and VERY well taken care of. My husband does most of the work on it himself and always kept in great repair. It has only 9,788 miles on it!! He is the 3rd owner that I know of and only rides it for pleasure at home. It is a garage kept bike, but due to being over 30 years old, does have just a little bit of rust. I believe that a lot of that would come out with just a little cleaning.

He has really loved this motorcycle, but doesn't ride it much and it needs to go to someone who will get more use out of it :) It is an awesome classic motorcycle and will be perfect for anyone's collection! These are getting harder to find in good condition so don't pass up this great deal!!

My husband just gave the carburetor a great cleaning and its running really good now. The tags just expired in July so it would need to go through inspection. I'm sure it would do so with no problem. There are no major issues, just normal wear for the age of the bike. There are some rust spots and one very small tear in the seat that is almost not noticeable all the way on the back. (see pics) The leather has been very well taken care of. It also has some scratches on the paint, but no major pealing or anything like that. $100.00 deposit through Paypal needed within 24 hours of auction end. The rest due in cash at time of pickup. US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

Flooding in Thailand Not Expected to Affect Honda Motorcycle Production

Severe flooding in Thailand has disrupted Honda’s automobile production but the company’s motorcycle production is expected to proceed normally. Hundreds have been died since July due to heavy flooding in Thailand and several provinces remain underwater as the Asian nation experiences its worst floods in 50 years. Heavy monsoon rains from multiple storm systems over the last few weeks have added to the problem, affecting millions in northern and central Thailand.
