2003 Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce FXSTD, 2003 was Harley-Davidson's 100th Anniversary. The vast majority of the Harleys made that year were either Black/Silver, Gunmetal (blue), or Vivid Black. A few were produced in Luxury Rich Red Pearl and even fewer in White Pearl. This 2003 FXSTD which is now offered for sale by Latus Harley Davidson/Triumph is one of the latter. The exhaust system on this bike was upgraded to a very attractive looking and much better sounding custom unit. The air filter is now a high flow device. My favorite upgrade is the installation of a set of chrome drag bars. Chromed controls, chromed hand levers custom hand grips and custom mirrors now reside on these bars. The foot controls, which are extended, are also upgraded units. The saddle is stock but the passenger now has the benefit of a padded mini back rest. An oil temperature gauge completes the functional additions. Our Service Department just completed a full 15,000 mile service on this 2003 Deuce so it is now ready for its next owner. AMA Pro Racing Announces Preliminary 2013 Road Racing Schedule
Fri, 09 Nov 2012AMA Pro Racing released a preliminary calendar for its 2013 Road Racing season. The tentative schedule contains nine confirmed rounds with another two to be confirmed. Next season will again see four classes of racing: AMA Pro National Guard Superbike, AMA Pro GoPro Daytona Sportbike, AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport, and the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series which returns under its new name.
Bob Probert’s Last Ride [video]
Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
