BMW Other description

2000 Bmw R 1200 C - ABS, BMW bags, passenger seat with backrest, BMW windshield and cylinder guards - It'd be downright disrespectful (not to mention wrong) to call BMW's R 1200 C just a cruiser. No cruiser you've been on handles with this much precision. Fuel-injected technology and sheer brute force pump out 71 lb.-ft. of torque. An agile anti-drive Telelever front suspension soaks up the bumps. While anti-lock brakes deliver quick, controlled stopping power. It's more than just a cruiser. A lot more. And you've got to respect that.

Fri, 27 Apr 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced the recall for the 2012 BMW S1000RR, providing more information about the problem. According to documents released by NHTSA, the bolts on the connecting rods in the BMW S1000RR may come loose because of an anti-corrosive agent applied to the bolts. The anti-corrosive agent may effect the bolt torque, potentially leading them to come loose, particularly at high temperatures or rpms.

Charley Boorman’s BMW R1200 GS Adventure Stolen – and Recovered

Fri, 27 Apr 2012

Adventure touring documentary star Charley Boorman and his BMW R1200GS Adventure have traveled a long way together, but the motorcycle had a bit of an adventure on its own after thieves stole the bike. The stolen BMW wasn’t the one Boorman rode with Ewen McGregor in “Long Way Round” (that was a R1150GS Adventure) or the one used in the sequel “Long Way Down“. Boorman did ride it on his last project, “Charley Boorman’s Extreme Frontiers: Canada”.
