For Sale- 1999 Ducati (ST4) Sport Touring, this bike's in very nice condition and needs nothing.

I've owned this bike since 2006, but have found myself riding my other bikes more and if there not being ridden its time to move them. This bike had a full major service done in 2012 (including valve adjust, new belts, plugs and new Pirelli Angel tires) and was stored do to deployments, moving back to US and having other bikes to ride.

Previous owner (a good friend and riding mate) completely disassembled the bike do to the engine case at the left rear motor mount being cracked. During this time the motor was gone through keeping it stock except for lightening flywheel at Speed's Cycle in Baltimore, MD. Ducati Performance slip ons and jet coated header pipes.
The frame and several parts is powder coated, it has ST4s forged wheels, yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder, Penske shock with Hyperco spring, rev-valved forks with Race Tech emulators and lots of Carbon Fiber bits, very nice Sargent seat (see photos), All the work was done in 2005, new battery 2016, all fresh fluids.
Bike speedometer shows 35,300 miles, I've only managed to put about 4,000 miles on this bike since the complete rebuild 2005.

There's a few scratches but, paint still has very nice shine and over all looks fantastic. Fairings was hanging on my garage wall when a set of car tires fell and took out the fairings, this in turn cracked them. There's a left upper and lower fairing included for anyone that wants to put the lowers on. The bikes never been wrecked or down.

The bike runs fantastic and its ready to have lots of miles put on it.

Being sold as is without any warranty. Buyer's responsible for arranging pick up, shipping and all costs associated. Bike is listed locally and reserve the right to end auction at any time. For shipping purposes bike's located in Louisville KY40218.

I have any photos and more information if interested.

Thanks for looking.

Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden Frolicking in the Snow [Video]

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

Last week, we wrote about Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden and Ducati’s annual Wrooom ski and press event in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. While Ducati, Rossi and Hayden are under intense pressure to perform better in 2012 than they did in the 2011 MotoGP season, the Wrooom event provided the riders and the team a chance to unwind before getting back to work. Ducati has released a video featuring its two factory riders enjoying the slopes at the ski result in the Italian Alps.Watch the video after the jump of Rossi and Hayden riding a Ducati-adorned Ski-Doo and snowboarding.

Tyre warmers for the daily commute

Thu, 10 Dec 2009

Ducati's Streetfighter is a serious bit of kit. It's actually perfect for my daily commute, if not, slightly extravagant. It's narrow, nimble and precise.

Track days, I love em!

Fri, 29 Jul 2011

I never tire of track days. Well I wouldn’t as I’m out most weeks earning a crust instructing on them, however, there is usually an amusing story at the end of each event. I get great pleasure helping riders (especially if it makes them safer) although I do come across some weird and wonderful riding in the process.
