1967 R50/2 with very low mileage and very stock.
Complete matching number bike with clear title in hand. Has newer battery (this spring) and
was licensed and ready to ride when I got it. Runs good and shifts good. All electrical works
properly. Speedo & ODO working properly. Has Hella bar end turn signals, engine guards & Denfeld rear
rack. Tires are in good shape....sorry but I do not have service records but it
only has 11,800 miles on clock. Seat is like new..shocking to
me.
Problems I saw...small ding on top of fuel tank, right hand side top...inside of fuel tank looks like new...original red coat & small ding & scratch on top of tank..see photo's. Front fender was repainted from front brace to where shocks come down..didn't see it until I dusted it off. Left hand mirror mount stripped out. Driveshaft Boot starting to crack...but new one included. Has Tool Kit, Owners Manual (repop) & all Keys including steering lock. Comes with extra parts including H4 Headlight Conversion, some New Shocks, S/S Bolt Kit, BMW Parts Book & more...see photo's. Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles
Wed, 06 Feb 2013More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.
