FOR SALE: 2014 R6 recently converted into a track/race bike. Bike sold on ebay once but buyer's financing fell through so I'm relisting.

I bought this R6 from the original owner when it had 2,083 miles on it. I took it for a short ride (now has 2,132 miles) then straight to the speed shop to get the works. It has never been on the track. It has a clean VA title and no liens.

This was supposed to be my track bike for years to come. Unfortunately, during this project, I suffered back to back detached retinas and after three surgeries my vision is not recovering well enough to do track days. So, I have no choice other than to sell; my loss is your gain - I’m not looking to make a profit. Although this bike is being sold in a track/race bike configuration it can be converted back to showroom state as I have ALL the body work, parts, tires, nuts and bolts. The OEM body work is in pristine condition, no scratches what so ever. MRP Motorsports out of Pasadena, MD performed all the work. I attached a copy of the MRP work order and Dyno run. Yamaha U.S. Increasing Club Level Road Racing Contingency

The state of road racing in America is hurting, there’s no doubt about that. But at least Yamaha is stepping up to the plate and increasing its contingency program for club level road racers 50% over last year. According to Yamaha, the program is designed to encompass a broad spectrum of road racing series across the U.S., from numerous club-level and regional sprint series events to the AMA Pro Road Racing series, including the addition of the ASRA Team Challenge Endurance Series.

Yamaha Files Patents for Leaning Three-Wheeled Electric Scooter

Yamaha has filed a number of patents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office for an electric three-wheeled scooter. Unlike the Yamaha Tricity which has two wheels at the front and a third wheel at the rear, the patents are for a scooter with two rear wheels, each driven by an electric hub motor.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Tommy Aquino Spirit Award

The sudden and tragic passing of Tommy Aquino has hit the entire motorcycling community hard. In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.
