Yamaha YZF-R description

Selling a single owner sweet ride with many upgrades to include Power Commander w/ custom map, Ohlins steering dampener, stainless steel brake line, double bubble dark tint windscreen, shorty levers, HID headlights, rear seat cover race cowling (along with standard rear seat) and fender eliminator license plate holder.  The stator and rotor were just replaced.  The tires are still in good condition.  I've personally done all of the regular maintenance on this bike.  It's has never been laid down.  It's a clean looking, super quick bike.  I don't really want to sell it, but I never get a chance to ride it anymore due to my new job.  My loss is your gain.

AMA Superbike Racer Larry Pegram To Race On Four Wheels This Weekend

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Foremost Insurance/Pegram Racing SuperBike rider Larry Pegram will be back in racing action this weekend but, instead of being aboard his familiar #72 Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike, Larry will be behind the wheel of a PRO Buggy sponsored by RealTree Outdoor Energy Drink. The PRO Buggy class features rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, purpose-built racing buggies with lots of suspension travel and lots of horsepower. Pegram is no stranger to car racing, having done a few road racing events last year, but he’s excited about the opportunity to kick up some mud this weekend at RedBud MX in Buchanan, MI, as part of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

A MotoGP rep for under £100?

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

OK, so it's only for kids, but the new Yamaha M1 WGP 50th Anniversary Balance Bike is still quite cool. Aimed at kids between 2 and 6 years old, it's the same Kiddimoto superbike design that's been around for a few years, and costs the same as the standard Kiddimoto. Which means you effectively get the special graphics and Yamaha branding free of charge.
