Yamaha YZF-R description

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view and consider this amazing machine! This is a fully custom 2003 Yamaha R1 that will turn heads ANYWHERE you take it! Here are a few of the add-ons. I'm sure I'm missing something, but the pics do say a thousand words!
  • Custom Paint
  • Full Micron High Rise Exhaust
  • Chrome EVERYTHING
  • Nitrous Oxide System
  • MSD RPM Activation Switch
  • MSD Smart Switch
  • Vortex Fuel Cap
  • Frame Sliders With Built In Turn Signals
  • Corbin Seat
  • License Plate Relocate
  • Brand New Battery
I know that I left a few things out, but please take a look at all the pics provided. The bike has been sitting in the garage for a few years with out being rode at all, so the only reason it is for sale today is so that someone else can have the chance to own, ride, and show off this totally awesome R1. When the bike was parked it ran great! The bike is scary FAST, but now I just put a new battery in it and it fired up and idles great as it should, but when I rode it to the end of the street it stalled out. It started right back up and rode back just fine, but due to sitting so long I'm guessing the fuel tank may need cleaned or something or you may have to go through the wiring system, or maybe I just didn't let it warm up enough. Really not sure, but it does fire right up and run well! Again this bike is VERY FAST and is not recommended for an unexperienced rider. The bike is of course sold in as-is where-is condition. This also is a used bike. It is in very nice condition, but it is used and it is not totally perfect. I am willing to assist your shipper in any way that I can to get this bike to you. Title is in hand ready to go! $1,000.00 Paypal deposit due upon winning this auction and the balance is to be paid by cash upon pickup or bank wire transfer. The bike will not be released until funds have cleared into my account if you are paying by wire transfer. No paypal for full payment. Please ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking, best of luck in the auction, and Happy Holidays!

Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.

Yamaha Champions Riding School Sold Out June 9 & 10

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

It took more than a year for the Yamaha Champions Riding School to sell out at its former location of Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Since its return at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the school has sold out in less than a half of season. There are any number of reasons this could be the case.

Used Review: Dainese Jerico R winter gloves

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

DAINESE JERICO-R Being stuck up a mountain with your bike buried to the pegs in snow is not the best place to be a week before Christmas, especially when its 1200kms from home. Only owning perforated summer gloves is also far from ideal. This is the situation I found myself in and seeing as everything in Italy costs a million Euros, I wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune on a set of discontinued Oxford heated grips from the local motocross shop.  A very pretty girl called Fanny at Chitrrai Yamaha, near Perugia, showed me the winter glove options.
