Yamaha XS description

Here we have a 1979 Yamaha xs 650 chopper. I recently purchased from a freind in town who built it last year. Has only a couple hundred miles on build. Has TC bros weld on hard tail,TC bros forward controls, custom seat, candy metallic green paint(base clear), new chrome chain and new sprockets, new tires, polished cases, etc..... Beautiful bike that was built right!!!!  Bike roars. I have spent the last week cleaning and polishing. Also just added a new battery, new key and switch, and new air filters. Both kick and electric start work as do headlight and rear tail/brake light.  Also has a strip of green led lights under tank for show at night.

BIKE WAS BUILT AND NEVER TITLED BUT WILL GIVE A BILL OF SALE TO APPLY FOR A TITLE.   ( I DO HOWEVER HAVE A CLEAR TITLE FOR A 1982 YAMAHA IF WANT TO TITLE AND LICENSE WITH THAT.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.

One of our favorite stories from 2012 was our coverage of the Kenny Roberts American Heroes Benefit Dinner. Hosted by King Kenny at his storied California ranch, it was an incredible opportunity to get close to the three-time world champ and other racing glitterati like Kenny Roberts Jr., Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson and renowned dirt-tracker Mert Lawwill. If those names resonate with you, it’s worth reading our story that includes a video and coverage of the Cpl.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
