Yamaha XS description

This bike is a frame up resto-mod. The engine was completely rebuilt approximately 1500 miles ago by Southwest Motorcycle. All of the excess tabs were cleaned off of the frame and it was repainted. A custom headlight bracket, seat pan, and rear cafe-inspired cowl were fabricated. The rear brake light was inset into the cowl for a super clean look. The seat has new foam and new, professional upholstery. The bike was left with a really nice natural aged patina. Starts and runs great.

The Resto-mod included:

New Mikes XS PWK Flat Slide Performance carburetors and air filters
New reverse megaphone mufflers
New tapered steering head bearings
New swing arm bearings
New chain
New dual sport tires
New shocks
New chain
Low rise tracker bars
New mini speedometer
New battery
New fork seals
Charging system updated with modern Regulator/Rectifier

Basically everything important on the bike has been replaced or rebuilt. All extraneous parts have been stripped off for an extremely clean build. Runs and sounds great. Clear New Mexico Title.

Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.

The World Endurance Championship Starts This Weekend

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Endurance racing is perhaps the ultimate test of both man and machine. In the past, teams would pace themselves in order to rest both elements enough to make a final push at the end. These days, however, motorcycles are more reliable than ever, and riders train like triathletes.
