WSBK: 2012 Miller Results

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Victory Reveals 15th Anniversary Cross Country Tour

Victory Motorcycles is celebrating the company’s 15th anniversary with a special limited edition Cross Country Tour. Unveiled at the New York City stop of the International Motorcycle Shows tour, the 15th Anniversary Cross Country Tour Limited Edition comes in an Antares red over Gloss Black paint scheme, just like the original 1998 V92C that was the first motorcycle to roll off the line at Victory’s factory in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The 15th Anniversary model also features a custom seat, billet wheels, chrome details, removeable saddlebag and trunk liners, a Garmin GPS navigation system, XM satellite radio, Kicker speakers, black windscreen and an iPhone/iPod connector.

2011 Isle of Man TT Recap

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
