Up for auction is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 old school ridged tail chopper. Motor is freshly rebuilt for performance. Top end ,bottom end and tranny all new. Motor consists of 40 over high dome pistons, black diamond valves, megacycle cam,32mm mikuni carbs, Accel super coil, Boyer / Brandson electronic ign. , cycle shack 1.75 inch drag pipes. New front mini brake chopper rim w/new maxi rib tire, new 16 inch rear Harley rim laced w/ss spokes to a triumph hub. new rear tire.43 tooth sprocket so bike is highway able, new brakes, 13 over springer forks, drag handlebars, molded frame. New battery, cat eye taillight w/blue dot and much more. This bike is turn key, one kick and in the wind.500 miles on rebuild as required for break in. Bike shows slight road wear. This bike turns heads and draws attention. It is quick w/ loads of torque, and sounds great doing it. I love this bike but too old to ride a ridged anymore, need suspension

Rain Forces Triumph Castrol Rocket Team To Look To Bonneville 2015

The past two weekends have produced more than three inches of rain and sad news for Bonneville land speed racing fans.Triumph has released it official statement regarding the announcement by Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout that the course will not be ready for its Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner and others to make a 2014 FIM legal attempt at 400mph. This is not what you want to see the week before racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Castrol Rocket, Gyronaut X-1 and Jason DiSalvo at New York IMS

Two Triumph land speed bikes, the Gyronaut X-1 and the Castrol Rocket, will be on display at the New York Progressive International Motorcycle Show this weekend. Jason DiSalvo, pilot of the Castrol Rocket and winner of the 2011 Daytona 200 will also be in attendance to meet fans and talk about the project. The Gyronaut X-1 is the last Triumph motorcycle to hold the ultimate motorcycle land speed record. The X-1 first set the motorcycle land speed record in 1965 at 212.689mph, while its 1966 record at 245.667mph stood until 1970.

McQueen’s Husky on the Auction Block

Thirty-two years after his death, Steve McQueen still reigns as the coolest movie star to ever ride a motorcycle. One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.
