The classic Triumph. Parallel-twin, spoked-wheels and lashings of quality chrome. The T100 is our modern interpretation of the classic Bonnevilles that ruled the roost back in the 1960s. Twin pea-shooter exhausts, two-tone paint and that Triumph embossed seat say ‘classic British motorcycle’ but while the T100 may look like its come straight out of ‘the day’, the technology and ride experience most definitely do not. The 865 cubic-centimeter engine, an air-cooled parallel twin of course, is fitted with up-to-date fuel injection for clean and efficient riding. Plus, the suspension and brakes are bang up-to-date too. You won’t have to sacrifice today’s technology to satisfy your taste for classic, vintage design. Riding the way it was in the 'hay day'. 50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle
Wed, 26 Jun 2013July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
