Very good condition 2010 Triumph Thruxton motorcycle, black with gold stripe detail, 865cc EFI engine, and over $10,000 in aftermarket parts. This motorcycle has been very well cared for and has always been garaged or covered. There is one small blemish on the lower portion of the right side stator cover from the previous owner, shown in pictures. Mileage on odometer is not the actual total as it is an aftermarket gauge, current total is 11,207 miles.
The vast majority of the customization work was done by me so if there are any questions just ask. Purchaser is getting a great deal on parts here, even if you just take off and sell the ones you don't like, you'll be way ahead on the deal. Great bike to ride and work on for all levels of skill and experience, you will enjoy it! I hate to see it go, but I won't have much opportunity to ride it for the next few years and it needs a good home. Buyer responsible for pickup/transportation and cash or certified check is the only accepted form of payment. Bike is located in Alexandria, VA and clean title is in hand. Stock two person seat and Triumph aftermarket single seat w/ rack will transfer with the bike. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
First Look: Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support
Tue, 02 Nov 2010I'm predominantly a road rider, so I haven't had much to do with neck braces, until now. I'm heading on the launch of the new Triumph Tiger 800 and there will be a session of light off-roading so I thought this would be a chance to try the Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support, mainly to see what it was like for day-to-day use. I hope I don't crash hard enough to test its protection qualities and I don't expect to be clearing any table tops either, but I'm curious to know how I get on with the BNS and whether it feels claustrophobic.
