It also has extra bite, thanks to the full-blooded, 865 cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that powers it. Delivering throaty performance – echoed by the mellow backbeat from its twin pea-shooter exhaust pipes – a bore and stroke of 90 x 68 mm, compression ratio of 9.2:1 and 360 degree firing interval add up to a responsive, punchy and soulful power unit. The T100’s chassis thrives on the extra power and torque available from the engine delivering secure road-holding, effortless steering and easy-going manners – as you’d expect of a motorcycle drawn from Bonneville stock. The tubular steel frame, 41 mm telescopic forks and chromed twin rear shocks easily cope with the extra performance the engine imparts, as do the powerful twin-piston calipers operating on the front and rear discs. All of the T100’s crisp coach lines are hand-applied and the new two-tone Jet Black with Tornado Red infill paint scheme provides a striking counterpoint to the vibrant White with Tangerine infill. Triumph Releases Third Adventure Bike Teaser Video
Fri, 03 Sep 2010Triumph has released the third in a series of videos teasing its two upcoming adventure motorcycles, this one describing the bikes’ new chassis. We know from the first two installments that Triumph is developing two models, one focused for on-road riding, the other for off-road, and both models will use a mid-sized long-stroke three-cylinder engine. The third part tells us the two models will use a steel frame and feature an upright riding geometry.
2013 Triumph Tiger Sport Announced
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Triumph revealed a new version of its 1050cc Tiger named the Tiger Sport. Triumph currently lists this new Tiger Sport beside its Tiger 1050 on the Triumph website’s 2013 offerings but the new model appears to be a replacement for the previous model which has been relatively unchanged since its introduction in 2007. Officially unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, the 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport receives new body panels, tail and windscreen but perhaps the most notable design change is the new single-sided swingarm which better shows off the black cast aluminum alloy multi-spoke rear wheel.
