Triumph Bonneville description

This is a real genuine Triumph Bonneville ....not chopped or restored !! Shows normal wear on the frame and some lights are not working, (head, tail, blinkers)...What is cool about this bonnie it has. 4 plug cyclinder head and very trick oil cooler routed directly into the case. ( see pics). Paint I do not believe is original but VERY nicely done with one minor little scratch. Tires are new, both brakes rebuilt and working fine, fork seals replaced, new rear master cyclinder ( from uK)...Engine runs strong, starts first kick, (kick only no electric), valves adjusted basic tune up done. No real oil leaks either, the primary is about the only thing with a very small oil drop.
I Do not want to work on the lights....really hate LUCAS ( king of darkness), I am selling as is.....
Once again normal wear on this puppy because it is originally, view the pictures they tell it all. I can arrange to ship at additional cost...title in hand.... Please serious British enthusiast only !!
Thank you
Rich

Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Tue, 22 May 2012

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.

2012-2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple, Tiger 800 Recalled in Canada

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

Transport Canada has announced a recall for the 2012 and 2013 Triumph Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Street Triple and Tiger 800 because of a flaw in their turn signals. Several members of the Motorcycle.com forum network’s TriumphRat.net community have reported issues with turn signals breaking off, and this recall appears to address the issue. According to Transport Canada, the supports for the front and rear turn signals were incorrectly manufactured and may break.

MPG or BHP?

Thu, 05 Jan 2012

If you were a child of the seventies, you may remember Craig Vetter’s name from his previous work as a stylist (Triumph Hurricane) or his huge fairing business, Vetter Fairings.  Since then, the 69 year-old industrial designer has become obsessed by fuel consumption - or rather highlighting how poor motorcycles are delivering impressive figures. He originally ran a series of fuel challenges in the eighties and now the economy has taken a nose dive, he has resurrected the competition, figuring that the time is now right to highlight these issues again. According to Vetter, three of every four American gallons of petrol is imported – reason enough to devote his time to raising awareness.
