Triumph Bonneville description

1973 Triumph Bonneville T140, 1973 Triumph Bonneville - COMPLETELY RESTORED, Pristine - $8400 I am hesitant to even put this bike up, because a large part of me doesn't want to let this beautiful bike go. For sale is a 1973 Triumph Bonneville 750 T140 Last year of the British right hand drive. I recently had this bike completely restored as a 70th birthday present for my father. It was expertly restored by the best Triumph guy on the West Coast, Steve Giblin of European Motorcycles in Redmond, WA, who specializes in Triumphs, Nortons and BSAs. I am begrudgingly placing it up for sale. It was restored for my father as a present, but illness prevents him from riding it. I have more pics available and can show the bike at your convenience. I can also give an itemized statement with all the work that has been done ($4500 in work alone). This bike is gorgeous. It runs like a gem. First kick over, every time. Come take a look for yourself. Feel free to call/text/email with any questions or to schedule a time to see it. $8,499.00 4158717385

Twin-Engined Triumph Rocket Streamliner To Challenge Motorcycle Land-Speed Record At Bonneville

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The 1,000-horsepower Castrol Rocket is currently undergoing testing for its upcoming assault on the land speed record of 376.156 mph, set in 2010, by Rocky Robinson with the Ack Attack streamliner. The goal: a 400-mph-plus record-breaking run. The 25-foot long x 2-foot wide x 3-foot high streamliner was constructed in cooperation by Hot Rod Conspiracy and Carpenter Racing and will compete in the Division C (Streamlined) – Type V (5) Spark Ignition, Over 2,000cc to 3,000cc class. Powering the Rocket are two heavily modified Triumph Rocket III engines. Each Carpenter Racing built engine was reduced from 2,294cc to 1,485cc (2,970cc total) to meet the 3,000cc maximum total displacement class rule requirement. While piston size remains the same stock 4-inch bore, stroke was reduced from 3.75 inches to 2.4 inches and redline increased from 5,750 rpm to 9,000+ rpm. There’s also one Garrett GT2876R ball bearing, liquid-cooled turbocharger per engine.

2012 Triumph Speed Triple R Unveiled at EICMA

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Triumph’s legendary Speed Triple receives the ‘R’ treatment for 2012, which means it comes equipped with top-shelf parts like Öhlins suspension and Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with Öhlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.
