Triumph Bonneville description

This auction consists of a 1967 Bonneville .It was redone about five years ago and runs very well .The engine has a Tiger single carb head on it with a new Amal 30mm concentric carb .There is a solid state ignition as well with new 6 volt coils and a new battery .Engine was completely gone through and functions flawlessly .The Bonneville head , correct rear foot pegs and a lifting handle come with the bike .Rubber is near new and highly serviceable .Correct exhaust in good shape and the instruments are aftermarket that look very close to correct and work .Front wheel is the twin leading shoe type and stops very well .Side cover is for a 63 to 65 650 as original was cracked badly .Prop stand / side stand is not correct but works well. There is the frequently appearing chain slap breach on the primary side case half from a poorly maintained drive chain sometime prior to current owners possession .I am listing this for a friend any questions please ask .Will not crate or ship this bike but would certainly aid your carrier in loading it .
Payment expected within seven (7) days of auctions closing .
Thank You for looking .

Total and utter destruction

Thu, 15 Sep 2011

Poor Ashley Beech. You've gotta feel for him. After a fraction too much throttle on the run down to Donington's Old Hairpin, the rear breaks grip amd he starts what should be a graceful slide across Craner Curve's neatly mown grass.

Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

Prince William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.
