Triumph Bonneville description

1966 Triumph Bonneville T120

1966 Triumph Bonneville we have had for some time. Originally a California bike purchased from the son of the original owner, the bike was then kept in Arizona in a large private collection before coming to us.
These are hard bikes to distinguish what is original and what is not, What I feel and know are not are the tires, possibly seat cover and I believe the grips, there is a set of gray Amal grips under the seat in packaging.
This what I believe to be an English market TT120, this information is only hear say as I do not have the knowledge to state one way or the other, but

The larger tank, parcel grid, tail lamp and front marker suggest a British version

There is some age patina obviously, there is some slight surface showing of light rust residue in the tank as this bike has just sat for years.
The bike was last ran when we purchased it some time ago, there is no known reason why it should not run again.

The clock shows 590 miles, the title states that mileage as close to what I feel may be accurate also, as the original title I received stated 362 miles before we purchased it showing the last road registration as 1969. Title has been applied for in our name with the mileage stating the current showing of 590

I suggest you ask questions, these bikes are not cheap, we will answer the best we can.

2010 Triumph Rocket III Roadster [video]

Wed, 07 Oct 2009

Over the past few model years Triumph strove to create some sense of how the Rocket can be used, eventually creating a touring-friendly model with windscreen and saddlebags as standard, called the Rocket III Touring. Then came the Rocket III Classic. More pulled back handlebars, floorboards rather than pegs, and two-tone paint helped define the powerful motorcycle as something appealing to the cruiser crowd.

Triumph 1600 twin Cafe Racer

Mon, 08 Mar 2010

WE SPOTTED this one earlier on French website Motorevue: a Swede, Sivert Raask, has concocted a this motorcycle from Triumph's 1600cc Thunderbird cruiser, with the use of a handmade seat, a Ducati tank and a bit of cunning.Quite tasty for a home-brewed effort, don't you think? We love a cafe racer here on Visordown, send us yours!

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
