The Suzuki DR-Z400SM is a street legal bike for serious dirt bike enthusiasts. It's not uncommon to take the SuperMoto down a twisty forest trail as well as a tight canyon corners. Its 398cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine provides strong low-rpm torque and crisp throttle response for any of these occasions. They key difference from the DR-Z400SM and the DR-Z400S is the inverted forks. Tue, 05 Apr 2011Rizla Suzuki welcomed back John Hopkins to Jerez and by the end of day one the American was posting some very respectable lap times. To me it seems like yesterday, but it was way back in 2007 when he last rode for the British based team ending the season 4th in the World Championship. The dry qualifying went well but he wasn’t too upset when it rained on race day as he admitted to not being bike fit and would have struggled to maintain a fast dry race pace.

Mon, 22 Jul 2013Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Concept
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Suzuki is currently testing prototype versions of the 2014 V-Strom 1000 first teased during the Intermot Expo in Germany last year. The company also has a dedicated V-Strom 1000 website centered around the concept, its inception, design challenges, and what Suzuki hopes to achieve with the new model. Judging by the photos, the new Strom will retain the same 996cc V-Twin engine first seen on the original Strom 1000 11 years ago.
