Suzuki DR-Z description

2008 Suzuki DR-Z70, very cool starter dirt bike with trainers. - One look at the DR-Z70s 10-inch wheels and 22-inch seat height, and you know this is a bike with ideal dimensions for up-and-coming riders. It also has performance features designed specifically for youngsters. It includes both electric and kick starting. Its 67 cc engine offers a smooth, controllable powerband and strong low-end torque. And, because it has a larger engine displacement than the competition, it boasts greater performance, which young riders will enjoy for years as they develop their skills. For 2008, the DR-Z70 also has aggressive RM-Z-inspired styling, so young riders can imagine taking their place alongside their favorite Suzuki racer.

Surely more wins are on the cards for Seeley and the 2011 Gixer?

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley  is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship.  He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.

Yoshimura Suzuki Signs Martin Cardenas to Race AMA Superbike Championship

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas has signed on to race in the AMA Superbike class for Yoshimura Suzuki. The move was rumored to be in the works for quite some time now, especially following Cardenas’ release from the final year of his contract with his former employer Team Hammer. Cardenas will return to the Superbike class this season, riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 alongside teammate Chris Clark.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

Mon, 28 Feb 2011

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
