Suzuki TM 125 description

This auction is for a 1974 Suzuki TM125. This motorcycle has been sitting inside as part of my collection for about 25 years. I had never rode or attempted to start it that whole time. I cleaned up gas tank and she fired up easily and runs good. The motor is very quiet and she runs strong. Shifts thru all the gears, clutch works well. Both brakes work good and did not take wheels off. I cleaned out inside of gas tank but it will still need some attention. It has some light rust inside tank. The tires are what I think are original Bridgestones. The fenders are stock, the front fender has paint coming off of it but plastic is in good shape. The gas tank is in great shape, no dents original paint. There are some little bumps in the paint near the gas cap, these might be visible in pictures. The seat cover does have several little tears. Spokes and rims all look to be in good shape. The sprockets are original and show some wear. There are some cool 1970 aftermarket goodies on this bike. The swingarm is a U.S Sports aluminum, in good condition. Handlebars are inter-am solid aluminum bars,. The exhaust pipe is a Power Pipe by JR. It is good shape, but does have two small dents underneath. It also needs a new gasket between pipe and cylinder. It also has what I think is a aftermarket racing head on it. It might be a Webco but can not find any markings on it. The rear shocks are Konis they have no dampning, not sure if they are rebuildable or not. It has original air box but will need a new air filter. The The CCI oil system is intact and working. Lastly the fork legs have some very light pitting up high, but it looks like it is all above leg travel area. Would make a great vintage race bike or nice addition to your collection.     I would prefer local pickup, but will work with your shipper. You make the arrangements I will meet him. I can also hold bike for a little while if needed, but will need $100 deposit.  Email with any questions. Check pictures carefully. I have tried to describe bike honestly. There is no title

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
