Suzuki T20 X6 Hustler description

GIVE YOURSELF THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT YOU REALLY WANT!!!!
This is the legendary 250cc X-6 Hustler from Suzuki!  This is one of the nicest, most complete 1966 T20 Suzuki motorcycles you will ever see.  It is in original condition, unrestored, and shows little of the age and wear that you would usually expect for a bike that is 50 years old.  It starts quick and easy, runs great, and shifts smoothly through all six gears.  It is all original and includes; tire pump (see it on photo of right side of bike, just behind the right side cover),tool pouch with tools; owners manual; shop manual; Clymer manual, locking fuel cap, original key for ignition and fork lock, separate key for locking fuel cap; and a battery tender to keep the battery charged and ready to go.  I hold clear title to this bike.   I was in the 10th grade when this bike was new and had it's little brother (150cc twin) when I went to high school.  I have owned this bike for about 10 years and have really enjoyed it.  The distinct 2-stroke sound, smell, and torque instantly transports me to an earlier time.  It is a lot of fun to ride and could be a daily driver for you.  The chrome is bright and rust free; the paint is original and very nice, there are some scratches to the fenders that you can see in the photos.  It has the appropriate level of smoke with running and runs strong and smooth.   The front/rear brakes work as they should; headlight and taillight work, and the horn works as well.  The only issues for the bike are; the kick-starter return spring doesn't work.  The kick starter works fine, always engages, and starts the bike usually on the 2nd or 3rd kick.  The kick starter doesn't spring back and I use a bungee cord to solve that issue.  It also leaks a little oil as bikes this age are prone to do.  You could ride this bike as it is or it would also be a great candidate for restoration if that is of interest to you.  I am not a motorcycle mechanic but I have owned many bikes over time.  This is a great bike and I know of no other issues, either now or pending that I haven't mentioned.   From its condition, I believe that this bike is a Colorado bike and has been consistently garaged when not being ridden.  Bid with confidence as this is a great opportunity for a rare bike.   I will not haul or deliver this bike but I will help you, or your shipper, load the bike.  I have additional photos and will answer any questions.

R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.

Land Speed Record Holder Bill Warner Dies Chasing 300 MPH Record

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Land speed motorcycle racer Bill Warner succumbed to injuries suffered in a 285 mph crash at Loring Air Force Base in Maine. The 44-year-old from Wimauma, Fla., reportedly lost control of his modified turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa while attempting to reach a speed of 300 mph. Warner reportedly began veering to his right during one high-speed run on the base’s runway after clocking 285 mph.

It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.
