This is a 1979 suzuki rm 400 (has a 1980 rear fender) Have the rear 79 fenders this bike has less than 20min. on the bike was started clutch and trans checked. The new parts,, crank was rebuilt all new but the crank 1/2's, The top end on it right now is a 440,I have another cylinder but is not bored out yet will have to go to .040 over. All bearings and seals are new in the bottom end.(even the screws inside of the center case are new) Has all new shift detent spings,pins,and paws. has a new barrnett clutch assy. with clutch push rods, all new jets inside of carb. All the nuts and bolts on the bike are new (pro-bolt stainless,aluminiun,and titanium) about 95% replaced the only bolts that I can think of that has been reused are front axle,rear axle,swingarm bolt,and triple tree top bolt w/washer. The center case screw are stainless steel the clutch cover and ing.cover screws are aluminiun, the front case save bolts are titanium, cylinder and head nuts are stainless steel, Has all new cables, handle bars,clutch lever and front brake lever assy., throttle assy., kill switch,chain and sprocket,w/o-ring chain,new tires, tubes,rim strips,rims, heavy duty spokes(buchamms) all new wheel bearings, swingarm bearings,new works performance shocks(0 time on them) front forks rebuilt w/race tech springs(bike is set up for a 175 lb rider) New works performance shocks, all new plastics,seat foam and cover.the front chain tens. is rebuilt with all new rollers and spacers, the rear has new new rollers with pads,The only thing on the bike is not from either a 79 or 1980 is the rear hub it is from a 1984 (it is a lot stronger than the 79 or 80 prone to breaking if you did not keep a real close eye on it) Have 79 rear hub, This bike has a ton of new parts on it I'm sure I have missed a lot of them So please ask questions I will do my best to answer them and as fast as I can, there is a 500.00 down 24 hrs after bid has closed and the rest in 72hrs. I will help to crate and take to air port or trucking for $100.00 up to 100 miles the buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. I can hold the bike for a few weeks when paid in full buyer is responsible for ins. on the bike as I will drop mine, there is NO RETURNS sold as is just like it was in 1979 so please ask any questions before biding.well thank-you for looking like I said I'm sure I have missed a lot of things so please ask questions. 45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

Suzuki reported an operating loss of 11.9 billion yen (US$117.1 million) from its motorcycle business for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2013. The loss stems from a 10.7% decrease in motorcycles sales and a 9.6% decline in motorcycle revenue from its 2012-2013 fiscal year. According to Suzuki‘s year-end report, motorcycles accounted for 230.3 billion yen in sales revenue, down 254.8 billion yen reported the previous year.
