Suzuki Other description

This is a very nice T500 that Paul Miller, the Suzuki 2 Stroke guru, has rebuilt the motor with new cases (old cases come with the bike), the crankshaft was balanced and new seals, etc. The motor starts right up, gears shift very nice, and the oil injector works great. Repaint on tanks and side cover looks good with clear out over the decals. Front and Back Michelin Tires/Tubes and wheel bearings installed this year. Gas tank is clean inside. Baffles are in exhaust. Starts on one or two kicks even in the winter. Pulls hard and accelerates great. Has some pitting, scratches, and nicks on the paint and chrome, as would be expected on a 45 year old bike.

Here's what I've done to restore the bike to where it is today,

Front foot peg rubber. Front Forks reconditioned with NOS seals, springs, and gaiters. New front/rear sprockets and chain. New Michelin Pilot Activ Tires. NOS rear brake shoes and new springs in hubs front and rear. NOS rear hub cushions. Connecting rods, big end bearings, and small end bearings, crank shaft bearings and seals all replaced.. Top End done with new pistons, rings, and bearings. New Seat Foam and Cover look and feels great. Carbs rebuilt with new gaskets. NOS throttle, clutch, and brake cables. NOS Air Filter in the original air box, points and condensers. OEM rear rack installed. Rear Fender re-chromed. Blinkers, headlight, horn all work. Tool Kit (minus the universal wrench tool which), Original Owner Manual, Original Service Manual, and two keys. Speedometer Face (not the instrument), the face vibrates a little when the motor is running.

This is an excellent rider quality bike and could be transformed into a show bike with just a little work.

Please do come by to check out the bike in person. The description and pictures are accurate. The new owner will not be disappointed. Bid with confidence, the bike is turn key, kick it over, go show your friends!

Thanks for bidding. Call me if you have questions 8six53six8six574

Why I love BSB's Showdown

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

It has lovers, haters and even many that still don't understand it but everyone in British bike racing is currently talking about the BSB Showdown.  With my rider's or team manager's hat on, I wasn't convinced when it was first announced in 2010 but I'm now totally converted and enjoy every part of the season as intensity increases.  And being a value for money Scot the best thing is you get four championships under one umbrella.  Championship # 1; In the early rounds everyone on the grid has aspirations of taking the title but as the season progresses, the focus narrows down to making sure you secure that top six showdown spot over the first nineteen races (riders can also drop their worst two results).  Championship #2; For the confident front runners, over these races, the real goal is the podium credit championship (3 for 1st ,2 for 2nd,1 for 3rd) which then gives them a points head start after things are put back to zero for the final seven race shoot-out.  Championship #3; The best of the rest championship (7th and below) that will be battled over the final races. Championship # 4;  Over the final seven races the British Superbike Champion is crowned. The recent adding and reshuffling a few top name riders for the Showdown has already spiced things up so hold on tight for the remaining five races!

MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.
