Suzuki Intruder description

I bought this 1998 Suzuki Intruder 1400cc about two years ago from a person in South Carolina. The mileage is 11,603. I got the bike home and realized that it had a 'salvaged' title. I couldn't see any defect in the bike, and drove it around the back roads near my house with no problem. Great power and torque.

When I went to register it at the DMV, they wouldn't do it because it had a salvaged title. They gave me about 10 pages of things that I would have to work through to title it in VA. Some of the things were like getting notarized documents from a rebuilder if it had been totaled. On a bike that old and coming from SC, that would have been impossible.

I ordered a used frame from FL with a clear title. The frame is titled as a 1991. When it arrived I took the title to the DMV and put in my name so I would know I could register it after I moved all the parts over. In the process, I painted the frame, tank, fenders, and side covers hot rod black urethane from Summit Racing. I installed a new front tire, the back looks really good. I have it about 90% complete. It still needs the tank lines installed, the exhaust put on, and the front brake bled. I have oil to put it in it and have already installed a new oil filter. I'm sure there will be bugs to work out, as there are whenever you do this on any vehicle. The bike is not running, and will need to be loaded in a truck or trailer.

The old frame and a Chilton's manual come with it as well. The reason I'm selling it is because I have stopped riding as a result of a family situation change. I can't chance getting hurt, and my son only having one stable parent. I've since lost interest in tinkering with the bike.

The pictures of when the bike was maroon is from when I got it. I've included pictures of the process.
Thanks for looking.
