Suzuki Teaser Video About Its Return To MotoGP

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

At Intermot this year Suzuki made it official: the company was returning to MotoGP in 2015. There had been some speculation about a 2016 return considering that will be the year of new ECUs and a switch to Michelin spec tires, but team boss Davide Brivio confirmed the GSX-RR prototype will be in action next year, piloted by Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. However, Suzuki will also make a wildcard appearance at the season ending round of the championship at Valencia with test rider, Randy DePuniet, at the helm.

Nissan Juke R v Suzuki GSX-R1000

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

Three-times BSB champion John Reynolds and a GSX-R1000 take on a Nissan Juke R around Rockingham. The Juke R is one of only 4 in the world, can do 0-60 in under 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 160mph. Whilst the Suzuki can beat those stats, John still thinks that the car has the edge around the tight Rockingham Raceway circuit. Who do you think will get the fastest lap, car or bike?

It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.
