This is a 2005 and I have been the only owner. I am 48 years old and an ex-motorcycle safety instructor. I have never raced this bike or done any stunts on it. It currently has 13,539 miles on it.
The current paint job was done in 2006 and is showing some signs of wear, but is still a head-turner. It has been equipped with frame sliders (in case it ever does go down, the damage to plastics will be minimal and damage to frame and other components will be virtually none). This bike is currently wired to use of a trickle charger (used during the colder seasons to maintain battery life). I just put a new Zero Gravity windscreen on about three months ago. Tue, 21 Feb 2012When John Reynolds was pushing me hard in the late nineties for BSB titles he was always polite and would happily stop to chew the fat and talk about the weather. But that was the limit of our friendship as he never wanted to like rivals too much, just in case it affected his competitive edge. These days, he has no great desire to barge me off the track at Redgate or Cascades so when our paths cross we happily spend time sorting out the problems of the world.

Michael Dunlop, of the famous Dunlop racing family, took the victory at the Royal London 360 Superstock race, giving him his third win of the 2013 Isle of Man TT. The latest win gives Dunlop six in his career on the Mountain Course, tying him with such noted names as Geoff Duke, Jimmie Guthrie, Jim Redman and John Surtees.

Unveiled at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, the Millionth Edition 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 comes with a commemorative paint scheme, black Brembo brake calipers, pin-striped wheels, gold fork tubes and red fork caps, suspension spring and nose. The top yoke also features a numbered Millionth Edition plate and the key is decorated with Suzuki’s red “R” logo.
