FOR SALE IS A 1983 SUZUKI GS1100 ESD THIS BEAUTIFUL BIKE HAS BEEN GARAGE STORED SINCE 1991, THE LOW ACTUAL MILEAGE ON THE BIKE IS 13,598, THIS SUZUKI 1100 ESD WAS MADE IN 1983 AND THE ONLY COLOR IT CAME IN WAS THE BLUE AND WHITE COLOR. THIS WAS THE FIRST YEAR THAT THE SUZUKI CAME WITH THE WEILDED CRANKSHAFT WITH THE BIG END FOR THE SMALLER FLYWHEEL ROTOR. THIS BIKE IS ALL ORIGINAL, EXCEPT IT HAS A NEW BATTERY,PLUG'S, A NEW FRONT TIRE (IRC) AND TUBE, A NEW OIL COOLER, AND NEW MIRROR'S,THE CARBURATORS WERE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED.IT ALSO HAS NEW FORK SEAL'S AND FLUID, THE GAS TANK HAS NO RUST IS SUPER CLEAN. THERE IS 1 SMALL PAINT CHIP ON THE GAS TANK. Mon, 09 Jul 2012If you miss seeing factory two stroke racing machinery being ridden properly then you should consider a trip to the Spa classic event in 2013. I was the lucky recipient of an invitation to ride there last week and had a blast riding some tasty kit from the past. I went well at Spa in 250cc GPs but the circuit scared me on the 500s.
GSX-R600 long-termer update
Mon, 18 Oct 2010When MF asks me if I fancy riding the Visordown test GSX-R 600 for a bit, I hesitate for about a millisecond before accepting. Why? ‘Cos my own courier’s favourite Diversion 900 may be heavy and utterly unexciting, but it is also a comfortable and trusty commuter ride that suits the Smoke very nicely, thanks.
