This bike's condition is clean, straight and sound; it rides smooth and steady well above 100 MPH. At 550 lbs wet weight and 90 HP, 62 Footpounds of torque and a redline at 8500, this bike is powerful and nimble. The engine and full driveline deliver power smoothly and powerfully.
The appearance is classic seventies muscle bike. The fuel tank has two dents and has had some prior body work done on it, however tank is tight, fuel cock functions correctly as does the fuel gauge. Back side of Front fender has dents due to exhaust pipe contact during compression. The seat is very comfortable, but shows signs of wear. I am the third owner, I've worked on this bike in my garage for the past eight years restoring parts that needed attention. Such as the electrical system, carburation, and breaking systems, checking, lubing or replacing all the bearings and suspension components. Shipping, from the greater Philadelphia area is available if fully arranged by the buyer. Payment method is cash or check drawn on a local bank (must be cashed before title transfer). |

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Fri, 03 Feb 2012The first MotoGP pre-season test at Mayalsia’s Sepang circuit is complete, with Ducati, Honda and Yamaha‘s factory and satellite teams, as well as a handful of CRT entries, collecting data for the next stage of their race prototypes’ development. Absent from testing was Suzuki which announced last November it was leaving MotoGP racing. Suzuki cited the recession, the rising value of the Japanese yen and the natural disasters afflicting Japan in 2011 as reasons for leaving MotoGP, but the manufacturer did say it intended to return in 2014.
