Kawasaki Vulcan description

Great condition, better handling and much more reliable than any of the Harley's I've owned over the years.  Has tuned power commander and tornado air intake combo. Chrome skull on one side, tornado air intake on the other.

Power Air horn provides just what you need to be heard over the bub pipes. Pipes are excellent, loud enough when you need it and a nice civil rumble the rest of the time. New tires (this year), plenty of chrome, shaft drive. Selling because it hasn't seen much use over the past couple of years and now we bought a convertible, so it sees even less use.

Kawasaki Celebrates 40th Anniversary of Z1

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the ground-breaking Kawasaki Z1 which made its public debut in 1972, becoming what many would regard as the world’s first superbike. Kawasaki’s first large-capacity four-stroke multi-cylinder motorcycle took center stage at the 1972  IFMA, the precursor to the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany. Together with the Honda CB750, the Kawasaki Z1 helped spearhead the popularity of the Japanese Inline-Four.

Silverstone Motorcycles launch night Thursday 29th

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

TOWCESTER based Silverstone Motorcycles, has just announced a launch night on Thursday July the 29th as part of the build up to the UK round of the World Superbike Championship being held at the revamped racing circuit just two miles west of the impressive new premises. A dual celebration marking the conclusion of a massive refurbishment project, the fun packed evening also marks the unveiling of Silverstone Motorcycles as the latest Kawasaki dealer in the UK. With a raft of attractions including a special guest appearance by Kawasaki World Superbike star, Tom Sykes, a ticket prize competition for the WSB round itself, plus the chance to ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R round the new Silverstone Stowe circuit over the race weekend, the evening has been conceived as a way of launching the new dealership and welcoming as many Kawasaki fans as possible according to Managing Director, Nikki Lockyer.

Video: Riding the 2011 MSS Kawasaki ZX-10 Superbike racer

Thu, 10 Mar 2011

A long time ago a man – some would say living legend – taught me how to ride a speedway bike. In Scandinavian tinged English he told me that the heart of riding a speedway bike was the relationship between my heart and the centre nut of the top yoke. Like a primitive cave dweller, he beat his heart with his fist while he explained this theory whilst his other hand gripped the top yoke.
