Kawasaki Other description

Greetings,
Due to  poor health and ever present medical bills I am listing for auction one of my 1972 Kawasaki H1b 500's.
I have owned this machine for 13 yrs, having purchased this long dormant bike chiefly due to its very low mileage and my affinity for the year.
KAF-649XX , H1E 692XX , are OEM mates , engine is STD bore, 8355 miles
The " down and back" of this machine included top end bearings, pins, detailing of ring grooves, outer crank seals, brakes, lighting, etc . the "72 only " flasher mount, rear tank mount, rear fender stay, and the air box are present. One notable is the lower triple tree i replaced with a 72 h2 item because i saw what i felt was a structural flaw in the original. Identical in size and function, but the pinch bolts are located slightly differently between the two.  BUT , a  course correctable h1b  lower tree IS included with the sale . Also, the bike came with a ratty set of banged up Dencos which I discarded and since the studs had been changed to 8mm I placed a solid later model set of OEM style pipes on her.  Included with the machine are 6 NOS 8mm/6mm studs  if the new owner decides to pursue a 2pc exh set later. The paint is a mix of oem [tank- very straight with typical scratches  marks on top, one touch up. and frt fender- sun fading on rear lower], rear fender touched up due to an unforgiving decal, and the sides have been retouched/done more extensively with new decals.
The bike starts easily, runs well, the clutch is slightly noisy from sitting apx 9 months  but works perfectly and is calming down it seems with each little bit of run time  since refiring. Tires are dunlop/continental with chequeing becoming apparent from age, plenty of tread but that is up to the new owner.
In order to help prepare the old girl for a new owner who might use her more there is new chain, frt sprocket, new battery,  and a Complete z1 replacement seat installed.
Use as is and enjoy, maybe add period tires and spokes and some shiny nuts and bolts over the winter, bike pretty easily taken to next level at your own pace .
Overall, if you had bought it, actually used it, did due diligence to keep it preserved and maintained, and had some love for the Era, then this motorcycle represents that well.
This motorcycle has a clear, transferable registration in my name. There is a reserve, but it's not Twilight Zone, lol, and i will work with your shipper .
500 deposit delivered via paypal by close of following business day, and remaining by close of business 3 days after sale.  Under 10 rating with ebay please contact me  to assure me that you're not living in your mom's basement and will be welcome. overseas welcome , but may need additional paperwork  , if additional expense that's on you.
This is the last H1b that I will be listing, as one I've owned since it was a yr old, and the other now resides in New Zealand. I have owned triples since 1972 [still have that h2] , and they have been a great source of joy in my life , but with declining health I feel it's a disservice to see them all just sitting .I have described this bike as well as can, but I'm only a human. If you have a question unanswered from the listing, please ask. I am not a business, just a guy trying to find some good homes for my old friends.
PLEASE NOTE:  Anything else in the pictures is not part of this auction. Not my cat, not my dodge, not any other cycles, lol, Only the H1B is being auctioned.
Thank you for considering my auction

Kawasaki Recalls Concours 14 for Rear Brake Problem A Previous Recall Failed to Fix

Fri, 27 Jul 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall for the Concours 14 for a rear brake pedal issue the company had previously tried to fix in 2008. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, road debris can get trapped between the brake pedal and a pedal guard, causing slight pressure on the rear brakes. The rear brake drag can cause the brakes to overheat, potentially leading to brake damage, a rear brake lockup or failure of the rear brakes.

2011 Isle of Man TT Recap

Fri, 10 Jun 2011

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
