1974 Kawasaki 400 Triple

I'm depleting my motorcycle collection down to a mere manageable number that is why this bike and more will be for sale. The miles are very low at 2899. This bike has just been serviced and runs excellent. It has been stored in my heated shop for years. The pipes are in excellent condition, motor side covers, fenders and seat are in great condition as well. The brakes and lights have been serviced. It's ready to ride. There is normal wear from years of storage and what few miles of 2899, the paint is in very good condition. This bike is good enough to ride and show as a survivor. As part of the Breaking Boundaries Build-Off program, the evergreen brand offered him and five other designers to try their hand at tuning the Vulcan S. Without hesitation, Bassett cut the rear fender, installed a new seat, a long shock absorber and wheels.

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
