Kawasaki Other description

For auction is a 1992 Kawasaki ZG1000 Concours. This sport / tour motorcycle is in good, original condition. I am the second owner and bought it seven years ago with 9,000 miles on it. It currently has just under 54,000 and runs great. I ride it year round mainly as a commuter. The water cooled, inline four cylinder engine is rated at 97 horsepower and runs very well. The six speed transmission shifts well and the hydraulic clutch is also good. Final drive is shaft and requires very little maintenance. All electrics are in good working order. Cosmetics are good overall and the bike is very presentable. There are some areas on the right side (pictured) from where the first owner dropped it but they're not to serious. Very good road bike with a seven gallon tank giving it a range of about 340 miles. Detachable hard bags are very spacious. It needs some things I had scheduled for this winter such as tires, fork seals and brake pads. The bike is usable as is however and I ride it daily. Bike has been regularly serviced using synthetic oil and lubes. Upgraded performance rear mono-shock. Recent heavy duty battery. K&N air filter upgrade. Original tool kit.

This bike is engineered to run at high speeds over long distances. Normal operating range on the highway is about 4,000 rpm at around 70 mph. The engine rpm red line starts at 10,500 and goes to 13,000. I have run it responsibly and have never had any trouble with it. I'm ready for a change to more of a cruiser style bike and wish to move this one on for someone else to enjoy. With continued proper care and maintenance, this one is sure to give many more years of service... Bike is sold as is and without warranty. I have a title for it in my name. If sold, buyer is responsible for arranging pick up. Thank you.

Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.
