1971 Kawasaki H1. This is an unrestored survivor bike. They're only original once and this once has been taken care of. I was told the original owner of this bike rode it in the Road America Race back in the day, but don't have any documentation. Original paint shines and looks great for a 45 year old bike. No dents anywhere. The pipes are solid but have some staining (mainly on the left pipe). Chrome on the rims, forks, headlight is all nice. Seat has a few stains but no rips I can see. The bike starts and runs but could use tuning (bogs off of choke). Pickup is Merrillville, Indiana 46410. I will ship, but shipping must be paid and arranged by buyer. Kawasaki Reports Q3 2011-2012 Results
Wed, 01 Feb 2012Kawasaki reported a net profit of 33.7 billion yen (US$441.9 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2011, but its motorcycle and engine division continues to operate at a loss. The motorcycle and engine division, which also includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and power products, operated at a loss of 4.58 billion yen (US$60.1 million) over the first three quarters of Kawasaki‘s 2011-2012 fiscal year, including a loss of 2.2 billion yen (US$28.9 million) in the third quarter alone.
Results From Day 1 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.
2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada
Wed, 11 Jan 2012As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.
