2015 Kawasaki Ninja® ZX™-6R 30th AnniversaryThe Middleweight ChampThe 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle is a brilliant middleweight streetbike with a championship lineage on the track. For a furious engine full of character, the ZX-6R is also an incredibly sophisticated machine with KTRC traction control, top-of-the-line Showa suspension, selectable power modes and optional ABS. The reign of the 636 has returned. Features may include:The 2015 ZX-6R features Showa Separate Function Big Piston Fork, which provides increased damping performance while braking over traditional cartridge-style forks. All fork adjustments are made easily from the top, with the preload function in the left tube and damping functions in the right tube. You only need to make one adjustment per function and initial suspension reaction is smoother with the Big Piston internals as it allows the fork to maintain its composure during braking. In the rear, the Uni-Trak® suspension system with a fully-adjustable shock lets you dial in preload, compression and rebound to suit your riding style – whether on the street or the track. Kawasaki engineers spent vast amounts of time perfecting the pressed aluminum frame to work with the suspension components and bike ergonomics to develop a chassis that is both stable and nimble. The ZX-6R flicks into corners quickly yet offers tremendous mid-range cornering, the ability to change lines at will, and excellent chassis feedback—just what you want on either the street or on the track. Three-Mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) allows riders to select how much, if any, traction control they want or need based on conditions or preference. This is complemented by two selectable power modes (either Full or Low, which limits power to approximately 80%), providing riders eight electronics configurations to choose from. The long-stroke design of the 636cc engine was developed to provide class-leading low- and mid-range power, along with peak power that closely mimics much larger bikes. If you’re commuting or canyon riding, most of your time is spent in the low- and mid-range, so the 38mm throttle bodies, a large air box, high-lift intake and exhaust cam profiles, and joint pipes that connect all four of the exhaust headers creates the most user-friendly powerband in the middleweight superbike category. Ninja ZX-6R ABS models feature Kawasaki Intelligent antilock Braking System (KIBS), an advanced system derived from that of the championship-winning Ninja ZX-10R. This system provides an extremely light feel at the lever, while also managing feedback from the brakes to keep things smooth. KIBS takes full advantage of the Nissin monobloc front calipers, 310mm petal-style front rotors and 220mm petal-style rear rotor with a single piston caliper to inspire confidence on the street or during serious sport riding. |

A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?
