2016 Motor Cycle Review: 1975 F7 175, If you can find a nice one, BUY IT!!

Specs:The engine is the #1 strong point of the F7; it is a rotary valve 2 stroke producing 21 horse power at 7000 RPM and stump pulling torque, which is why it would smoke most of the 250 Enduros of its day and probably most of today's as 250.

Thanks to this sheltered existence, this Kawasaki 175 F7 is one of the finest original, unrestored examples you will ever find. Unlike all of the "restored" motorcycles that claim to be "the best" or "better than new this one shows us exactly how a new Kawasaki F7 175 looked
from the factory.

It is not restored and is a lovingly cared for and amazingly preserved original bike with lite painta. It is wearing its original factory applied paint sprayed on at Kawasaki factory, except for under the seat from light surface rust remediation, its original seating is perfect, untouched engine. It's original, factory installed exhaust is still in place and perfect. Notice the perfect zinc plating on almost all of the original fasteners with the exception of a few, even on the rims, spokes and brake hubs. Those who know Kawasaki  F7 will similarly be amazed by its condition - note the flawless gas tank with the exception of 1/8" long by about pencil point wide slight scratch , perfect ambulance Crome, cables and switches are prefect, gauges work and still show bright luster.
Never cut, modified, abused, or off-roaded, and always treated with care. This is one Kawasaki F7 175 that never needed to be restored. As good as some restorers are, no restored Kawasaki F7 can compare to a well-maintained original one like this in fit, finish or function. As the yarn goes “they are only original once

I can store as long as needed, shipping wining bidder responsibility, non refundable deposit.

On Oct-11-16 at 13:14:47 PDT, seller added the following information:

e bay wants to remove this listing because I used the word like new. hopefully they wont since I posted the revised description, the bike is a really, really nice use condition.

Thanks

Recall for 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

A recall has been issued on the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R due to a problem with the wiring harness. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a portion of the wiring harness on some 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R models may get pinched between the subframe and the rear fender, or between the subframe and the bolt holding the seat cover. This may result in damage to the harness and wiring, potentially resulting in a short in the electrical system, which could cause the engine to suddenly stop.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
