Honda Other description
PRICE: $8,500 W/O OEM HARD CASES & CARRIER $10,000 WITH OEM HARD CASES & CARRIER Im selling my VFR which I purchased a year ago and have the title in hand. I bought it from a dealer in PA with 600 miles on it. It was a prize that someone had won and did not want. As a result it came with 48 month Honda Protection Plan (HPP) with roadside assistance. This was easily transferred to me when I purchased the bike and can easily be transfer to the new owner as well. If purchased as is the bike comes with the OEM Honda color matched saddlebags, color matched rear trunk, and rear carrier to mount the rear trunk, $2400 msrp in accessories (willing to sell separately). The standard passenger grips also come with the bike. In addition to being completely covered by Honda until 2016, this bike has also been meticulously maintained and garage kept. The bike currently has 7,272 miles and I occasionally ride this bike to work in VA (42/way). This has one of Honda's best paint jobs and I have taken care of the paint so it still has it factory shine (as can be seen in the pics). There are two scratches on the case as can be seen in the pics. Info from Honda: Color Matched Luggage: 33-liter capacity rear trunk is roomy enough to hold a full-face helmet and more. The trunk features a locking, quick-detach system for easy mounting. And, as an added convenience, a new one-key system enables the VFR1200F's ignition key to open both the trunk and side saddlebags. Includes Mounting Base/Brackets. Rear Carrier required for installation. Aerodynamically shaped and colored to match the motorcycle's bodywork, these lockable bags fit onto unit-integrated bag attachments with no need for any mounting brackets. 29-liter storage capacity per saddlebag. Like the Rear Trunk, the hard saddlebags are color-matched and feature the one-key system. Aluminum die-cast Rear Carrier is required for installation of Rear Trunk. 2010 Honda VFR1200F, Honda's storied V-4 heritage has been re-invented in an astonishing sport motorcycle that's unlike anything you've ever seen, heard, or ridden. Drawing from an impressive history of V-4 innovation, the Honda VFR1200F incorporates technology borrowed from such diverse sources as MotoGP, motocross, and even high-end sports cars. Its 1,237 cubic centimeter engine has a narrow 76-degree cylinder angle, Unicam valve train, asymmetrical front / rear cylinder spacing, and other advanced features, which combine to produce a remarkably compact engine. Throttle-by-wire, a smart new shaft-drive system... it all adds up to a futuristic new bike for those who love to ride hard, ride far, and ride often. $11,000.00 410-852-5634.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?
Tue, 30 Dec 2008A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
Parrish's predictions for Silverstone MotoGP
Fri, 18 Jun 2010I'm at Silverstone for the British MotoGP and Steve Parrish spoke to us all about his predictions for the podium. Parrish has gone for Stoner, Lorenzo and Pedrosa to take the top three spots and spray the bubbly at the end of the race. Not too sure on his call though as I think Dani will be riding on a high after winning at Mugello and surely the speedy Spaniard will take full advantage and wring the neck of the Honda at the (supposedly) high speed Silverstone Circuit.
