The Honda Gold Wing began its life a 999cc Flat-Four in 1975 and over more than a quarter century has developed into the 1832cc Flat-Six produced today. The Goldwing is Honda s flagship motorcycle touring platform. As such the Wing often showcases the latest in Honda technology, like ABS; but perhaps the most notable example in recent years is the Gold Wing s optional air bag the first motorcycle to offer the safety feature on a production unit. Current Honda Gold Wings offer options for integrated GPS and full audio systems, and all the touring goodies hard-core two-wheeled trekkers need. The Gold Wing also offers a reverse gear, helpful in backing up the claimed 895-928-lb curb weight (total weight dependent on optional accessories). 2015 Honda CB300F Heading To Canada in White with ABS
Thu, 10 Jul 2014When American Honda officially announced the new 2015 CB300F this morning, it didn’t take long to realize the naked version of the CBR300R would not be offered with anti-lock brakes. The lack of ABS, even as an option, was one of the things that differentiated it from the CBR300R which offered it at a $500 premium. That’s not the case north of the border however, as Honda Canada confirmed it will offer the CB300F with ABS as standard equipment.
Honda to Introduce Larger “New Concept” Models for North America
Fri, 21 Sep 2012Honda announced it is following up on its NC700 series with a new large-sized model, with sales expected to begin in North America in 2013. Honda first announced plans for its NC700 models in at the 2010 EICMA show with a concept it called the “New Mid“, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise Honda would follow it up with a “New Large” series. The new models were announced in a presentation by Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito alongside plans to develop a new MotoGP-derived sportbike.
