Honda Gold Wing description

2001 GL1800 Goldwing Custom Touring Roadsmith Trike w/Trailer (Yellow)

PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for the Vehicle ONLY and does not include the trailer shown in the photo. The trailer is available for purchase at an additional $3,000.00

This unit features the automatic leveling system that is the latest major upgrade to come out recently on thier conversion. The conversion was installed in June of 2011 ( *See photo of invoice with equiptment list )

Here is a history of the bike written by the owner:

History of my 2001 gold wing.

i bought his unit brand new in march of 2001.   Most all of the service has been done by East Coast Cycle Center by only one technician

I have most of the service records for any serious buyer.

It was outfitted with a Roadsmith Trike at 142,000 miles.   The bike currently has 162,000 miles.   It runs as good today as the day it was purchased.   It burns no oil between changes and has no strange noises.  (i can't say that for my new gold wing.  it's apart at east cycle getting a noise repaired as i write this.)

the trailer in the picture is available as well. The trailer is a bushtec which if you know anything about a bike trailer is the top of the line.  it has every option bushtec offered when i bought it including an on board compressor package to adjust the hight tec suspension.   it's a complete package and any buyer can expect to get on it and go to the west coast and back without doing anything but put gas in it.

My wife decided 2 years ago she did not like riding 2 wheelers any more.  i bought the trike and put about 25,000 miles on it.   she now has decided she does not want to ride a 2 wheeler.  i have decided to leaver her home when ever i go on a bike trip.

This trike is for someone who understands that 160.000 miles on a gold wing is no big deal and wants to get a fully equipped trike at a bargain price.

WSBK: 2012 Brno Results

Mon, 23 Jul 2012

Marco Melandri bit a chunk off of Max Biaggi‘s World Superbike championship points lead by taking a pair of wins at Brno. The double was the first in Melandri’s career and the first for BMW. Biaggi, who arrived in the Czech Republic with four wins and nine podium finishes in ten previous races at Brno, was held off the podium this year, shrinking his lead in the championship to 21 points from 48.

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
