Honda CRF description

2012 Honda CRF80F, Adding the clutch for more FUN! - You wouldn’t buy your youngster skates that don’t fit properly. Off-road bikes, like skates, work best when they’re properly matched to a rider’s size and skill level. That’s why Honda has developed the CRF family of four-stroke off-road motorcycles – to ensure that you or your kids get a good, safe start in the sport, and don’t get frustrated by something that’s too hard to ride. As the smallest member of the family to come with a 5-speed transmission and manual clutch, the Honda CRF80F is the perfect fit for riders who have grown out of the minibike stage. Its quiet and reliable 4-stroke engine has a wide, user-friendly powerband and is difficult to stall, and the easy-pulling clutch lever will have your young rider expertly shifting through the gearbox in no time at all. Thanks to its smaller 16-inch / 14-inch wheel sizes and compact overall dimensions, the CRF80F has the low seat height and comfortable riding position that are ideal for letting smaller riders enjoy the sport as they learn and grow.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Daytona Results

Mon, 12 Mar 2012

James Stewart gave his 2012 AMA Supercross championship hopes a much needed boost with a big win in sloppy, muddy conditions at Daytona International Speedway. Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.

You want a nice little car, you do.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

Traction control? Yawn...

My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.
