Honda CBR description
2013 Honda CBR600RR, CBR600RR - With the 2013 Honda CBR600RR, we’ve taken a bike that was equally at home on the street or on the track, and made it even better for both. How? By improving engine performance, handling and aerodynamics without changing its unique ability to be practical and comfortable during everyday riding. You can’t miss the CBR600RR’s aggressive new bodywork that reduces drag by 6.5 percent – it was inspired by Honda’s RC213V MotoGP racer. A new Showa Big Piston fully adjustable fork and distinctive 12-spoke wheels from the CBR1000RRA combine with an upgraded aluminum frame and lighter aluminum swingarm to improve handling – especially under the heavy loads produced by cornering or hard braking. Revised settings in the Programmed Dual Stage Fuel Injection (PGM-DSFI) system improve engine performance below 7,000 rpm, while a carefully retuned air-intake system improves torque above 7,000 rpm. Perfection, improved. That’s the 2013 Honda CBR600RR.

Honda MotoGP Production Racer Undergoes Testing at Motegi
Mon, 27 May 2013Development of Honda‘s new production racer is well underway, as the new (relatively) low-cost MotoGP racebike underwent testing at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi circuit May 23-24. Conceived as a lower-cost option for race teams, the production racer project is running slightly behind schedule but Honda still expects it will available in time for the 2014 MotoGP season. Early reports estimate the price for the production racer to be around US$1.26 million, a substantial price, but still considerably less expensive than rumored $3.9 million it currently costs to lease a Honda RC213V for one season.
Honda Reports Q3 2011-2012 Results
Tue, 31 Jan 2012Honda reported a 41% decrease in net income over the third quarter, thanks primarily to the rising Japanese yen, continuing effects from the Japanese earthquake and floods in Thailand interrupting automobile production. Thanks to recovering auto sales and growing motorcycle sales in emerging markets, Honda reported a net profit of 47.6 billion yen (US$624 million) in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011.
