Timing is spot on, carbs fully cleaned and rejetted for pod air filters and balanced, cam chain adjusted, and new oil and filter.  Bike was repainted and custom decals and pin stripe applied. Most of cases are chrome plated as can be seen from pics.. there is a slight amount of pitting on L side case. Not obvious but want to be fully clear on condition.  Faring sits nicely on bike and is solid with no cracks.. can be removed easily if not your thing. Bike comes with original owners manual, work shop manual, tool kit and CLEAR TITLE.

Bikes starts, idles (after warm up), runs, shifts, and brakes as it should. Very quick. No smoke or weird noise from any component.  Tested compression on two outer cyls (inner very hard to reach) and both at normal levels ... 150psi  Bike is for sale locally and may be removed at any time.  Will not ship unless buyer makes all arrangements and has picked up and my house.  No guarantee and no return. Shunji Yokokawa

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Honda Project Leader Shunji Yokokawa's first Honda bike was a CB900, which he got when he was a teenager after seeing Freddie Spencer wheeling his way down the Laguna's Corkscrew.Yokokawa has been in the States himself recently, having travelled to the Bonneville Salt Flats to break a world land speed record for a stock 600cc motorcycle.According to the Southern California Timing Association website (you'd have thought the video might have mentioned something about the record?), Shunji was successful in his attempt during August's 'Speed Week', setting an official speed of 170.828mph onboard a CBR600RR.

Ducati continues to develop its Desmosedici GP12 MotoGP race bike, setting modest goals while trying to establish a good setup. Already trailing the other factory teams in development time for its race prototypes, Ducati continued to try to find good base settings for the GP12. Valentino Rossi achieved the team’s goal of lapping under two minutes and two seconds with a time of 2:01.886 while completing 44 laps on the second day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.

Japanese Motocompo Anime

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

Last week we revealed that Honda are likely to launch the new Honda Motocompo - over 30 years since the first version. I must admit, I'd never heard of it before we ran the news story, so I got onto YouTube and tried to find footage of a very efficient and humble Japanese businessman unloading one out of the boot of a Honda Civic in order to minimise their carbon footprint, but no... I couldn't find one.
