Up for bid is a very nice example of a 1973 Honda CB500F. We have tried to stick to modifications that enhance the appearance of the bike without radically altering it. No chassis modifications were made, simply cosmetic and performance upgrades. Here is a partial listing of the parts and modifications: - MAC 4 into 1 header - Powder coated frame, wheel rims, side stand and swing arm - Polished engine covers, wheel hubs, fork sliders and hand controls - Painted engine block and head - Super bike bend bars with Biltwell grips - Carburetors rebuilt, jetted to the exhaust and fitted with Uni pod filters - New spokes, nipples and Metzeler tires - NOS tank emblems and reproduction side cover emblems - Original front and rear fenders (front fender has been shortened) - New speedo and tachometer in custom bracket. (We have the original gauges if desired) - Custom seat based on original pan. This allows the factory hinge to remain operable. - New Candy Bacchus Olive paint on original tank and side covers. - New chain and sprockets The bike is in excellent running and riding condition. Mon, 14 Oct 2013Honda Project Leader Shunji Yokokawa's first Honda bike was a CB900, which he got when he was a teenager after seeing Freddie Spencer wheeling his way down the Laguna's Corkscrew.Yokokawa has been in the States himself recently, having travelled to the Bonneville Salt Flats to break a world land speed record for a stock 600cc motorcycle.According to the Southern California Timing Association website (you'd have thought the video might have mentioned something about the record?), Shunji was successful in his attempt during August's 'Speed Week', setting an official speed of 170.828mph onboard a CBR600RR.
Isle of Man TT 2013: Sure Sidecar Race 1 Results
Mon, 03 Jun 2013The 2013 edition of the Isle of Man TT kicked off with the first of two scheduled three-lap Sure Sidecar races. The favorites going into the race were the DMR duo of Dave Molyneux and his passenger Patrick Farrance. Molyneux won both Sidecar races at last year’s event and is third overall in Isle of Man TT career race wins with 16.

I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
