Honda Sabre description

Very clean, well maintained, and great running V65 Sabre.  I have owned this bike for about 4 years and have rode it everywhere.  It starts, runs, rides, shifts and handles great!  The big V4 is just an awesome motor with never ending torque and unmatched smoothness!  It will accelerate like a crotch rocket and cruise like a Valkyrie.  Truly an all purpose sport touring bike. This bike is all original except for the super bike bars I installed because the stock bars made me feel like I was driving a garden tiller!

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER'S BIKE!!  IT IS BIG, HEAVY, AND VERY FAST!

It has a recent valve adjustment, low mileage Kenda Kruz tires, new brake pads, and new clutch pushrod seal.  The paint shines like new, the engine is clean, gauges are clear and all instruments, including the clock, work.  Front forks and rear shock all hold air and adjustments work.  This bike is ready to ride!

It does have some minor flaws.  The front of the tank has some damage to the paint in the black area due to a brakefluid spill sometime before I got it.  There is also a small scratch in the silver and red part of the tank and a very shallow ding on the top.  The warning light section has a small crack.  None of these are very noticeable, but they are there.  The fork seals tend to seep a little after it has set for a while, I think because the seals dry out.  After 50 or so miles, they seal up again.  It's been doing this for years and hasn't caused an issue, but just so you know.

I will ship this bike anywhere in the lower 48 using Haulbikes.com.  You can get a quote there.  If you have it shipped, you will need to wire me the funds before I ship the bike.  I will add the shipping costs to the final sale price and you will need to wire the full balance.  I work at a bank, so don't try any funny business.  I love catching scammers!

If you pick up the bike, you must bring CASH only!  You can test ride only after I have the cash in my hand.  If you wreck it, you bought it!

Don't bother to try to scam me, I work at a bank, I've seen it all!

Questions?  Ask away!  Want to talk about bikes?  Sure!  Want to schedule a time to look at it before bidding?  No problem, I'll supply the beer.  Want to tell me I'm asking too much, don't know what I'm talking about, should buy a Harley, etc?  Don't bother!  Besides, it was built in the US using Japanese parts, just like a Harley!  Just look at the vin tag :)

2014 Honda CRF250R Announced

Tue, 14 May 2013

Honda has completely overhauled its CRF250R motocross bike for 2014, offering an all-new engine and an aluminum beam frame inherited from the CRF450R. With a claimed weight of 231 pounds, the 2014 model is actually 4 pounds heavier than the 2013 model, but the new updates are designed to improve mass centralization, with Honda claiming it to be more flickable and nimble than before. According to Honda, the new frame weighs 20.6 pounds, while the main frame spars meet the steering head lower than on the previous frame, helping lower the center of gravity.
