Honda Interceptor description

Up for sale is my 1984 Honda Vf 1000F. I have been through all most all of this bike and either everything is rebuilt or new. The front forks have new seals and were painted, rebuilt front and rear calipers with new brake pads, new chain, new turn signals, new seat cover, new windshield, new front and rear tires with less than 300 miles on the set. The wheels look great as well with no damage to them. The handlebars, fairing stay, rear grab bars and a few other parts were powder coated gloss black and the list goes on with many new parts. As you can see in the pics the tank that is on is not so eye catching. I do have another tank that is primed and needs paint and decals to replace the current one. I just put a new fuel pump, fuel shutoff and lines on the bike. The carbs were cleaned and jetted for the Supertrapp exhaust and the K&N filter. The carbs were synced when cleaned but I think they can be tweaked just a little more for optimun perfomance. The bike handles and rides amazing and the motor runs strong and sounds great. Body is all original and looks really good for its age. All switches and lights work as they should with no issues. The key works on all locks including helmet lock on rear support bar. I tried to take pics of any imperfections so the buyer will be aware of everything. There is a few scuffs on the body and the front fender has a bb size hole and some chipped paint. The right exhaust has a scrape towards the end as seen in pic. The exhaust gasket on the rear left side started to leak where the head pipe inserts into the collector the other day when I had it out so I ordered new gaskets for both rear pipes and o-rings for the front as well. It doesn't affect performance but I wanted to disclose that before hand. Bike does have a clear Iowa title and is currently registered and plated but at one time did have a prior salvage title. I wanted to be straight forward and disclose everything I could about this bike. Buyer is to arrange their own shipping and a $200 non refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. The rest can be paid upon pick up or through other arrangements. Once funds clear the title will be sent to buyer. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions prior to bidding.

Honda Re-Signs Marc Marquez Through 2016 MotoGP Season

Wed, 14 May 2014

Marc Marquez has signed a contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation that will see the reigning MotoGP champion stay with the manufacturer through the end of the 2016 season. “We are very satisfied to have reached an agreement to keep Marc in the team for a further two seasons,” says Shuhei Nakamoto, executive vice president of HRC. “Of course, as Honda, we wanted to keep Marc in our family, and he also wanted to stay with us so … it was natural to renew the contract even if it is very early in the season!

Dan Gurney’s Two-wheeled Terror at IMS

Tue, 09 Dec 2008

When the Gurney Alligator A6 made its debut in 2002, the world saw a glimpse of a new concept in sport motorcycles. Long, low, quick and efficient like its namesake, the ’Gator was like nothing we’d seen before. The bike was the brainchild of Dan Gurney, the legendary F1 and Le Mans winning driver and championship-winning sports car builder.

2014 Honda CRF250M Motard Announced for Europe

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Honda announced it is bringing the CRF250M supermoto to Europe. We first heard about the supermoto version of the CRF250L in January, when it was announced for Thailand. Though nothing official was said, it seemed likely at the time Honda would introduce the CRF250M to other markets.
