Honda Gold Wing description

This bike was donated to the Farmington, NM CMA (Christian Motorcyclist Association).  All money from the sale will go to the “Run for the Son” ministries.  Check the website at www.cmausa.org for details.

The good:

It is a 1976 Goldwing 1000cc.  I’m thinking this is the second year of manufacture for Goldwings and there is no reserve. It has electric start or kick start.  Engine  is free and does turn over with the kick option but the kick lever is missing.  Electric starter works fine when powered up. Exhaust, and chrome in pretty good to excellent shape as the bike has been stored indoors.  Classic Vetter fairing is in good to very good condition.

Clear title.  Clutch lever operates fine.

The bad:

The gas tank has some damage as shown in photos.  There are some dents in the frame tubing around the area where both side covers attach.  Some cracks in the fiberglass tank covers and side covers.  Pretty good buckle in the rear fender.  There is a dent in the right fork tube top cover.

At least one carb is damaged. It has a float mount that is broken. It also has other pieces missing.

Appears to be a missing part or parts in the carb linkage.  Another carb that was inspected cleaned up just fine.  The two other carbs have not been inspected.

The engine did run (roughly) on choke and primed carbs.  All 4 Cylinders show 120 psi compression.  Bottom line - an experienced person should be able to restore the bike to running condition with a different carb and rebuild kits.

The speedometer has been replaced but not tested.  The original was broken and cracked. Rear turn signals need some work and the seat has some cracks.  Not sure of the mileage as odometer was on broken gauge and replaced.

Ignition lock has been replaced as there was no key with the bike.  It seems to work fine.

Please contact me for any questions and I’ll do my best to answer or send more pictures.  Bike is located in Farmington, NM and bidders are welcome to come check it out.  Just send me a email through ebay and I’ll give you the address.

From an EnduroCross press release: Factory Beta and Stillwell Performance-backed Cody Webb took a decisive win tonight in Salt Lake City’s inaugural AMA GEICO EnduroCross event. The win was Webb’s second after taking the first round victory in Las Vegas and puts him and his Beta two-stroke 300 into the points lead. The race fans in attendance at the Energy Solutions Arena saw a night go almost perfectly for GEICO-supported Webb.
